My Name is shirley scurlock. We are rebuilding this site in honor of G-ds people Israel - but also for the body of Yeshua, the church who have been grafted into the vine.

Our new plan for this Podcast is to share the truth about Israel and the love we should have for her and the Word of God.

Our prayer is that at least one man or woman will come across this site and know that those who know Yeshua as Lord are not their enemies.

Our hope is to show that those who came before to murder and destroy, did not come at His bidding, and further, they did not know Him.

Our prayer is to shed love on His chosen; whether it is the church or the children of Israel. To give them hope and peace.

Today those words shock us! How can this happen here - in this country? Why are people afraid of that Name? The Muslims shudder to see the Jewish people ascend to the Temple Mount to PRAY. They know that the Jewish people and the Christians have one thing in common. We worship and call on the Lord God of heaven and earth, The Creator – Yahweh! They know – when we call on the name of our G-d He answers! How shall they stop a move of G-d? They have to keep us from prayer!

Like news from the current newspaper Act 4:18 tells us that the disciples were commanded not to speak at all nor teach in the Name of Jesus. Today’s atmosphere is the same. Those who do not believe are not content just to ignore us….they are determined to wipe out any mention of G-d from our society. Why? Why are they afraid of our words? Why do they want to take our freedom of speech away? Words have power. Words can sway opinions and change ideas. Words can create hope or break hearts!

In the United States we have the right to speak what we believe and those who hear us have the right to agree or disagree! Men and women have fought and died for this right for all of us! There have always been people who do not believe in G-d – but only in this century have they begun to fight against our rights. Have you noticed that those who do not believe in our G-d are the most violently opposed to our rights? The evidence does not support their statement. According to them -they fight against an invisible force –which they claim is NOT there! It reminds me of Scientists and Warriors who grab swords and bows to fight a tornado! They claim there is no higher power; still they have come out to make war on the wind! If they really do not believe in G-d – why are they so upset when we pray to Him? If the Muslims are so sure their god is the only god – why do they care if we pray to nothing? If there’s no one there – shut up and let us pray!!! The gate through which Messiah is prophesied to come –“the Gate of Mercy was permanently sealed. In the year 1543, Arabs under the direction of Sultan Suleiman wanted to prevent the word of God from coming to pass……. Wikipedia, the Free Encyclopedia (wikipedia.org =“The gate is located in the middle of the eastern side of the Temple Mount. The portal in this position was believed to have been used for ritual purposes in biblical times. In Jewish tradition and Biblical prophesy - this is the gate through which Messiah will enter Jerusalem. It was sealed off in 1541 by Muslims, allegedly to prevent his entrance. The Muslims also built a cemetery in front of the gate, allegedly in the belief that the Messiah would not be able to pass through without risk of impurifying himself.”

Nothings really changed -All around the world they chase and persecute Christians and Jews to prevent them from praying to our G-d! Read Voice of the Martyrs Magazine for the whole story on persecution by Muslims! The fact is that they are afraid when we pray! The god they serve is not strong or victorious unless they can silence every other voice. I remember the story of Elijah – when everyone seemed to have turned away from G-d – he called on all the false prophets and the children of Israel to come and find out who was truly G-d! Elijah sat quietly and allowed those who worshipped another god to dance – sing and pray to their god. He had no problem with what they were doing because He knew who G-d was! His turn came and G-d sent fire from heaven to take the sacrifice. He had no need to defend what He knew was true - and our G-d showed up to prove His point!

Today there are forces fighting against all we believe in. They whisper to us to be quiet and not to pray or speak in that name. There is a stigma attached to prayer in Jesus Name that we must overcome to be effective in this world today. Like those who have gone before us – we will come to the place when we have to choose between being accepted or rejected, perhaps between life and death!

The world will allow us to be religious as long as it doesn’t collide with theirs. Wars have been waged to combat differences of opinion. When someone is unsure of what they believe – if their faith is weak – they will wrestle with everyone in an attempt to convince themselves! However – when we are convinced that what we believe is true – we need not convince anyone! Our faith is steadfast and strong! Wars come from uncertainty and self exhortation. Our power comes through faith in the word of G-d -the power to allow others the right to believe what they choose. Our power is birthed from our faith in prayer to the one true and living G-d.

Those whose fears drive them to silence children’s prayers actually exhibit more faith in our prayers than we do….They seem to believe we can change our world if we pray and so they make war on the most powerful weapon we have ! Prayer! We then slink backwards and pray less or become involved in the battle over where to pray! While we have homes and privacy – we can pray and seek G-d without their influence. Pray while you can and seek G-d while He is near…..

Since 9-11 we’ve seen many changes take place in our society. In the beginning we heard shouts from all sides encouraging us to go to war! Now, several years into the war on violence-we hear the voices of those who would warmly entreat the very enemy who came to our shores to kill us. We have them speaking in our colleges and they openly shout out their intention to destroy us and Israel.

The dust and ruble of that attack pulled our people together in ways we have seldom seen in our history. The stench of death and the tear stained faces of those who buried a family member seemed to be etched into our hearts and minds. The coined heroic shout “Lets Roll” filled us all with pride in people we have never met but share a homeland with! I found neighbors all across the country as we drove down the street and marveled at the signs on bumper stickers.

I remember that morning, and the cars we passed on their way to church. The churches were full. People came to call out to God in a crisis that they felt may end their own lives. The news broadcasts were the only thing on everyone’s TV and the prayers being spoken for those in New York City were unbelievable. Those who could not go-sent money! We even found new respect for our police and firemen. Presidents, Senators and lawmakers aside- what has happened to us?

There’s a change in the atmosphere. Politics have destroyed and divided our newfound unity! Lurking in the shadows of our country’s hierarchy are the quiet voices of the rich and influential who secretly plot our downfall while they flirt with the enemy who desires to kill our way of life. Now I’m not so naive as to believe that these shadows are all of one political group- nor are they only of one religious group. They are the men and women who demand “tolerance” for our enemies while they criticize our faith. They are the people who tell us our enemies have good reason to want us dead and we should be still and tolerate it.

What if those folks on that faithful flight had remained in their seats and tolerated the actions of the terrorists? What if the police tolerated the actions of the criminals they are hired to arrest? What if you had to tolerate the burglar who broke into your house and destroyed all you have worked for? Of course these things are ridiculous, but it is also ridiculous to expect those who are being pursued to their deaths to sit by quietly and die!

There’s a difference between tolerance and agreement. To some tolerance means agreement-to the extent that we must not voice disagreement. Intolerance demands that you cease worshipping as you do. Intolerance demands you keep silent. Using this concept- the enemy among us is in disguise. He comes as the voice of so called reason.

The enemy has designed a new way to destroy. He has hidden himself in our country and brought all his hatred and tools of war with him. He sits in the political arena and taunts us to let down our standards and be tolerant of false gods and foreign faiths. He whispers peace as a reward for our acceptance of their greedy demands. He demands we stop praying as we have always prayed and quietly fade into the darkness. I read of the minister who shamefully accepted the half hearted honor of praying in some assembly if he would refrain from praying in Jesus Name. He stumbled around the prayer that has always been on his lips, and tried not to allow that beautiful name to escape his mouth. He couldn’t recognize the devious plan of the enemy. They want to destroy the Hebrew-Christian heritage on which our faith is built.

Recognizing the enemy is half the battle. An enemy seeks your destruction. In ancient times- an army first destroyed a country’s place and form of worship. They tore down their idols and decimated their clergy. They knew the strength of any people is their faith-and this enemy has come to desecrate everything we believe in.

This enemy is quietly coming to our homeland and becoming politically connected. The damage they could not accomplish with air planes on 9 11, their allies will attempt to do at the ballot box! Influencing the political scene is the new weapon of war being used against us. Those with enough money and influence can manipulate the media and convince the public of almost anything!

As a thinking human being you must recognize the all out warfare by Islam against the Hebrew - Christian people in this country. This attack is not limited to us – they attack the Jewish nation, and declare they will wipe them from the earth. Our leaders dine with them, and try to calm them by appeasing them while they spit out their venom. In a definite show of weakness, we have all but given in to our enemies demands.

As participants in a free society we must stand for the rights of free people everywhere. The ideology of Islam is a dictatorship in which women are mere sex slaves and children are future suicide bombers. The idea that one culture will survive by destroying all others can not be tolerated. We as free people have to speak up and stand for something bigger than ourselves.

Oh Hills Of Israel!

The Light of grace comes shining from your distant hills
Mercy incomprehensible, self righteousness dispelled
Righteousness embodied, stood on Israel's land
Weeping for Jerusalem, for she couldn't understand

Soon her holy mountains; would be covered with the truth

God's love for all of Israel, evident throughout the earth

CHRISTIANS UNITED FOR ISRAEL
"CUFI UPDATE"

Greetings to all the leaders of Christians United for Israel across America. This past Sunday night, Dr. Jerry Falwell was the evening speaker at Cornerstone Church where he delivered a powerful message on the absolute must of Christians everywhere becoming "Salt and Light." He further stated that Christians United for Israel was an idea whose time has come and greatly needed by America and the world.
Also joining Dr. Falwell at our church was former Congressmen J.C. Watts. I asked Congressman Watts to join Christians United for Israel and he enthusiastically agreed.
In addition, Dr. Phillip B. Knight who serves as the President of Congregational Methodist Churches also accompanied Dr. Falwell. Dr. Knight has agreed to join Christians United for Israel as well, bringing with him the many leaders he oversees.
I thank the Lord for all He is doing to bring together America’s leaders on behalf of Israel.

DAY OF PRAYER FOR ISRAEL
On Sunday, October 1, millions of Christians from more than 100 nations will unite in prayer for Israel in obedience to Psalm 122:6 which commands us to "pray for the peace of Jerusalem."
CUFI Regional Director Robert Stearns of Region 10 serves as co-chairman of this prayer initiative entitled, The Day of Prayer for the Peace of Jerusalem -- which takes place the first Sunday of every October.
This is an extremely important spiritual effort, and I call upon you and your church to join me and the more the than 100,000 churches worldwide in praying for the peace of Jerusalem this October 1. For more information go to www.daytopray.com.

PRO-ISRAEL RALLY AT THE
UNITED NATIONS BUILDING
I also encourage as many of you who can and those you lead to attend the Pro-Israel Rally in front of the United Nations building on Wednesday, September 20 at 12:00 noon.
Malcolm Hoenlein of New York who is Executive Director of the Conference of Presidents of Major American Jewish Organizations is organizing this rally. This event is coordinated with the expected arrival of President Ahmadinejad of Iran to America who has stated, "Israel should be wiped off the face of the map."
Robert Stearns is also spearheading the CUFI representation for this rally and I ask all of you in the New York area to attend this very important gathering.

Holy City Commissions Christian Watchmen

JERUSALEM – Last Thursday, in front of the Western Wall of the Old City of Jerusalem, high-ranking Israeli representatives of both city and state government presided over the first-ever “Watchmen Commissioning” of Christian pilgrims.
Deputy Mayor Yigal Amedi and Knesset Member (MK) Dr. Yuri Shtern joined religious leaders in recognizing nearly 100 Christians gathered at the Wall, for their dedication and support for the nation of Israel. Many of those recognized were also commissioned – under the sanctioning of the city of Jerusalem – as official “Watchmen on the Wall.”

“These watchmen are a new breed of Christians,” Robert Stearns said from the ceremonies in Jerusalem last week. “With the full weight of the government of the city of Jerusalem behind us, we are witnessing the fulfillment, in a new dimension, of ancient biblical prophecies.”

The newly-commissioned representatives are members of Watchmen on the Wall, a program organized by Eagles' Wings, which trains believers to be informed intercessors and articulate ambassadors by completing both the required training curriculum and a "prayer pilgrimage" to the Holy Land. These semi-annual pilgrimages bring to life not only the Biblical roots of Christianity, but also the current situations in the land that need our united prayer.

I have posted watchmen on your walls, O Jerusalem; they will never be silent day or night…” (Isa. 62:6).

Jesus said that when He comes back; He will set His foot on the Mount of Olives, and all of Israel’s enemies will be destroyed! He said that when He appears, Israel will look on Him and mourn or repent! Seeing His hands and His feet they will know that this is the one and true Messiah of Israel.

Oh what a wonderful day that will be. The day seems to be so much closer than we ever imagined. There have been wars and rumors of wars forever, and I will be the first to admit that, however so many things are in line right now, that the thrill of seeing Yeshua come on the clouds of glory and hearing that trumpet sound is so real! It is almost at the door!

Do we suppose that because evil men did evil things in Jesus name, that He is the enemy of Israel? Yeshua is certainly not the enemy of Israel. He will be their defender. He is in love with and desires Israel. He wept for her as a mother does her children. His heart has not changed toward the apple of His eye.

Those who marched under the cross against Israel during the crusades were not Christian. They were possessed by the devil and full of evil! They had no understanding of the plan of salvation! Or how G-d chose to use the people of Israel to bring Messiah into the world!

G-d spoke to Abraham and asked Him to give his only son! He said now take your only son Isaac and offer him as a sacrifice to me. Abraham, being G-ds friend would deny Him nothing. Because Abraham obeyed, G-d stopped him just in time, and gave him back his son.

Is it a surprise that much later, G-d sent His only begotten son to die on the cross as a sacrifice for the children of Abraham and through Him, the whole world? Oh and is it not like G-d to offer Him up on the same mountain. And not only that but He raised Him up alive again, to receive Him back to Himself, where He ever lives to make intercession for us.

Please read the scriptures below! Romans the 11th chapter says it so well. Much of what has taken place with Israel was G-ds plan, so that He might have mercy on all of us. If the Jewish people had readily accepted Him, we would forever be in that lost condition! We were without G-d, without hope and destitute of the wisdom and holiness of G-d. Now He can have mercy on all men and we can be grafted into the true vine through faith in Messiah. These scriptures contain Strongs numbers for easier Bible study!

WHEREAS we the undersigned recognize the Bible as the Word of God, eternal, unchanging, and of the authority of God. (2 Timothy 3:16)
WE AFFIRM the steadfast and permanent love of God for Israel and the Jewish people, as clearly declared in the Word of God. (Jeremiah 31:3)
WE AFFIRM the Abrahamic Covenant as stated in the Bible, which declares that those people, nations and leaders, who bless Israel shall be blessed, and those who curse her, shall be cursed. (Genesis 12:3; Zechariah 12:2-9)
WE AFFIRM the eternal covenant of God to Israel, and His promise and giving of the land of Israel to the Jewish people as their everlasting homeland, now and always as declared by His Word. (Genesis 17:7-9)
WE AFFIRM the regathering of the Jewish people to their ancient homeland and the rebirth of Israel as ordained and prophesied in the Scriptures, accomplished by His hand, and thus the right and Biblical mandate of Israel to exist in the land of Israel. (Ezekiel 36 and 37; Isaiah 11:11-12)
WE AFFIRM Jerusalem as the undivided eternal capital of Israel, and the biblical warning that any seeking to move or divide it shall do so at their peril. (Joel 3:16-21)
WE AFFIRM the resolve of Israeli citizens to stand and defend themselves against the onslaught of terror arrayed against them.
WE AFFIRM the call of God for all nations and governments, including all those of the Arab world, to recognize the right of Israel to exist, by His decree. (Zechariah 2:8)
WE AFFIRM our steadfast support of Israel, to exist, to thrive, and to defend her people against all that is arrayed against her.

Since the dawn of time, G-d has had a plan regarding His people Israel! The church has mistakenly replaced Israel with itself in scripture. As believers in Yeshua, we were grafted into Israel and become blood of her blood and flesh of her flesh! We should wail with her for the most holy place to be restored to her. We should cry for her when the world stands against her!

Many of us have been taught to hate. As with any prejudice, it is blind. Hate can only see what it has been trained to see. Hate is blind to truth! The truth is that the enemy; Satan Lucifer or the devil; whomever you wish to call the most evil force in the universe, desires to destroy Israel! It’s a shame that many of the more secular churches have sided with him. The world will continue to come against Israel, but G-d has given her that land forever! And He will defend Israel.

What is the fate of Israel? She will survive. She will blossom, and she will be victorious over her enemies. And one day she will recognize her savior, redeemer and messiah: Yeshua. On that day, those who stood against her will mourn their deeds. When they realize that when they stood against her, they stood against themselves!

We are one in the eyes of G-d!

G-d has given Israel back the land (1948 ). Now as always, men want to divide the land and give it to her enemies. These folks do not want to live peacefully with Israel. They want to drive them into the sea! Now while her enemies laugh the world to scorn; they not only decieve the world but they attack the very people who would get them what they want.

We pray that our country would not be decieved by the lies of hateful men. They not only kill others but send thier own children to their deaths. Oh the blood shed by this terrorist attitude!

Let them not devide your land Oh Lord! Let them not drive your people Israel into the sea! Arise and defend your own people, in the land where you have set them to live!

Israel sits as the head of a pin, in a land filled with her enemies. Her most holy sites sat upon by those who would destroy her. To all who stand afar off gazing at her she appears to have reached a place of helplessness and hopelessness.

However I charge you to look closer!

The Abomination which sits in G-ds most holy place will not stop G-d from having His temple, neither will her enemies prevail over her. Israel will not be driven into the sea, nor will she disappear from the earth at thier bidding.

The G-d who sits on the circle of the universe, also has Israel as His footstool and she is the rest of His feet. He will not allow her enemies to triumph forever, nor will His city be trodden under foot of His enemies!

Awake Oh Lord and rise to the defeat of those who would destroy Israel! And clean off the temple site for your most holy place. For we have grown tired and wait patiently for Messiah to come and rule over us.

Yeshua reign now and forever!

How beautiful are her lights shining through a darkened night. How lovely are her walls and the flowers of her fields!
The world looks on with envy. This is the reason they hate her. Not because Israel has done any evil thing to the world, but because she is blessed of G-d. Look at these pictures through out our site. Israel is beautiful and her people are tenacious and strong. She will not go into the darkness of death quietly. Her people have long faced death threats and murder. Her children have languished on the sword of many an evil man, yet she is here and facing new threats and more evil men. Israel: the nation of the Jews, their longed for home land and precious treasure; the place of their holiest temple, the sanctuary of the Lord our G-d will forever be in their hands. The Lord the G-d of Israel will fight for her in the valleys and on every high hill.

Jerusalem needs our prayers more now than ever before. The world stand poised against her and her leader fallen ill. G-d knows the thoughts that He has toward Israel and they are thoughts of peace!

Sometimes peace comes at such an awful price!

Blessed be the people of Yeshua and the land where he walked

Isaiah 40:31 says: they that wait up on the Lord shall renew thier strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles, they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint.

The church is also waiting for Messiah Both peoples long for the Jewish Messiah to come. I watch the eastern sky and they watch the national scene.No matter which way we look, our hearts look for the same thing. The Savior!

One day according to scripture, the messiah will call out for us to arise. The enemies of Israel will be scattered and Messiah will be king of all the earth. He will reign in righousness, mercy and forgiveness. Today He calls us to arise in mercy and love for the people of Israel and the peoples of all the world! He calls on us to be His hands and feet... to be His heart to the world.

The Lord Yeshua has called us to be the church, not just go to church. It's easy to go to church and be content. But to be the church, you have to take the Holy Spirit to those who do not darken the doors of your church. To be the church, we must walk as Yeshua walked, in love and mercy, forgiving, loving and sharing the kingdom!

So be the eagles! Arise on wings of love and mercy to the world around you.

Speak comfort to Israel the beloved for Abrahams sake! Speak softly to those who are afraid. Spread your wings to gather her from afar....

Speak mercy to Israel, speak softly to calm her soul. Draw her beneath your feathers so warm, and give comfort to the prey of islam.

Speak strength to her young men, the chosen of Israel. Speak health to all of her
bones. Spread your wings to shade her for the battle to come, Speak softly to Israel

Jerusalem, unlike most other nations, faces a daily dilemma...The enemies of this tiny nation surround her physicaly. They come through borders the world demands she keep open. Although the United States and the Arab nations know the danger it poses, still they are expected to open the door like sheep for the slaughter.

No other nation in the world would allow such demands. No other power would bend their knees toward the chopping block for peace! This tiny nation has a right to defend her borders. We as Christian people must now stand up for what is right and speak out for Israel! We must join the many prayer teams around the world and pray for the peace of Jerusalem.

It is the cry of our heart that the Lord G-d of Israel defend her and raise her up, and that Messiah come to the holy Mountain of Israel and reign!

Oh that our arms were long enough to hold you! We desire that our hands were strong enough to lift you high above the plans of your enemies. We can only dream of having the power to hide you in a secret place until the dark rulers have been laid low. But our G-d will yet save Israel and He will come to battle for Jerusalem!

Let us strengthen her hands with prayer! Let us hold her high with supplication before the Lord. Let us pray for the peace of Jerusalem

Why is it that the world can not just let Israel be? They're in a little parcel of land, many come from other countries to settle here. To look at the pictures, we can't immediately see what everyone finds so appealing here. I guess we have to look a little deeper.

Every country in the world has some interest in Israel. Could it be because it is the apple of G-ds eye? Could it be that every prophesy of the word of G-d centers around Israel? Is it possible that the earths climax will take place here, in these valleys?

Whatever the reason; the world gravitates toward Israel. Some come for good, some come to destroy! We as believers in Yeshua must come for love. We must come because our G-d has set His name here! We come to love His people Israel!

My Name is shirley scurlock. We are currently building this site in honor of G-ds people Israel, but also for the body of Yeshua, the church who have been grafted into the vine of Israel.

Our plan for this Podcast is to share the truths about Israel and the love we should have for her. Our prayer is that at least one man or woman will come across this site and know that not all those who know Yeshua as Lord are their enemies.

Our hope is to show that those who came before to murder and destroy, did not come at His bidding, and further, they did not know Him.

Our prayer is to shed love on His chosen; whether it is the church or the children of Israel. To give them hope and peace.

Oh the splender of the house of G-d.

The beauty must have been breath taking. The sight of thousands of worshipers flowing to the Temple Mount, with the sound of trumpets and the shouts of folks of all ages. Today, the temple is gone and the splender of the holy mountain faded. Now, in it's place is a pagan shrine and we mourn with Israel until that site becomes G-ds holy Mountain again.

Israel has been called a pecular treasure. Why?

Watch through out history. She has been attacked, beaten, broken and driven out. Her walls have been torn down, her children killed and torn asunder. Her people have been hunted like animals. Even the children having done no good or evil were slaughtered!

Look at her today! From across the oceans wide. Peer in to see her standing! She's on her feet and fighting to live.

Why did God call them a pecular treasure ?

The answer lies in her ability to press through the persecution to become a state. She has been called of G-d , chosen to show forth His glory. Oh that those who believe in Yeshua can be as determined to be....His hands, His feet, His heart to the world, and never ever quit.

Let us join them at the wall of wailing till we see messiah with our own eyes?

Yeshua said "I long to gather you as a hen does her chicks!"

There are still those who desire to gather you and protect you. We are so sorry that some carried a cross as a symbol of hate against you.

Religion and false teaching have trained too many to hate. Yet the Savior they claim to serve was Jewish, with a Jewish family and Jewish traditions. He was a Jew! He is still a Jew! He has never changed, he is the same!

Yeshua is our heart! It is not a religion, it is a relationship.

G-d made a promise to Abraham, and because they were friends, G-d has kept His word. He sent messiah Yeshua to take our sins upon Himself and through His flesh nail them to the cross, so that all our sins are paid in full. That day He cried "Jerusalem, Jerusalem, how often would I have gathered you?" He did it in Abrahams hearing. And for G-ds friends sake He still cries your name Jerusalem.

The Mosque that stands on the Jewish holy site is the abomination spoken of by Daniel the prophet (Daniel 11:31).

The Temple Mount area Mosque prevents Jewish worship. It brings idol worship to G-ds holy mountain. There is no need to look for another abomination to come.... this is The Abomination! We see it in our day!

We pray for the peace and security of Jerusalem, and we pray G-d grant the mountain back to the Jewish people.

Hear Oh Israel... the Lord our G-d is one!

Israel, although she is still under attack by her enemies...the G-d who watches her will not sleep, nor will He will leave her unattended forever.

Israel, hear the sound of our heart.
As we love Him that begot Christ...We love all His brothers and sisters. How could we love the father and not care for all His children?
